RRK Childcare Project – Caring for Our Future
(under development)

Robe River Services (RRS) is still progressing plans for a culturally safe childcare service in Karratha. This initiative aims to provide high-quality care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children while creating training and employment pathways for Indigenous educators.

Current Focus

The project is still in its early planning phase. A new business case is being developed to guide the RRKAC Board’s decision on acquiring a suitable land parcel in Karratha. This staged approach ensures:

  • Strategic alignment with RRKAC’s cultural and social objectives.
  • Assessment of land options and feasibility.
  • A clear roadmap for future development, partnerships, and funding.

Our Vision

  • Deliver a nurturing, inclusive environment that celebrates Robe River Kuruma (RRK) cultural values.
  • Support families in Karratha and surrounding communities.
  • Contribute to long-term social and economic benefits for RRK people.

Design concepts will follow once land acquisition and feasibility are confirmed.
