SIMULATOR TRAINING OPPORTUNITY

SIMULATOR FACILITATION

Using realistic replications of work processes and multiple scenarios (training, practice, assessment), Operators and trainees are provided with opportunities to demonstrate skills and decision-making procedures in a risk free, simulated environment.
This hands-on, experiential learning assists Operators and trainees to become proficient quickly while minimising risk for Yardi Mining personnel, equipment and Site environments.

Sessions last for 4 hours but can be adjusted to meet specific needs. Total training 13.5 hours over 3 days for max group size of 7

SIMULATOR TRAINING OPPORTUNITY

CAMPAIGN SIMULATOR TRAINING

Specifically designed to meet the needs of Site, based on a combination of data, observation and Operator behaviours.

COURSE CONTENT

Previous successful Campaigns:

  • Machine specific brake training
  • Machine specific RSC training
  • Wet weather training
  • Machine specific functional training

Programme Objectives:

  • Introduce and/or reinforce operational skills, techniques and practices based on MinRes procedures and manufacturer OEMs
  • Address specific machine health/abuse issues identified by Site through best practice training
  • Reduce machine abuse instances
  • Reduce maintenance required on machines – time the machines need to be out of a working environment
  • Assess the retention of instruction and information

ELIGIBILITY

On request of Site leaders:

  • Current MinRes Operators

Note: Site has the option to send trainees during their R&R and pay them for the half day session or they can be scheduled at the beginning/end of their swing

SIMULATOR TRAINING OPPORTUNITY

SIMULATOR BASELINE ASSESSMENTS

Utilised to evaluate the Operator’s overall ability to operate the specified machine in a simulated mining environment and in accordance with previously learned activities and experience.
Ideally, baseline assessments are conducted before initial mobilisation to site.

COURSE CONTENT

Baseline Criteria include:

  • Machine Operation
  • Safety
  • Production Optimisation

Programme Objectives:

  • Objective assessment of Operator skills and behaviours
  • Identify areas of strength (individual/crew)
  • Identify areas of improvement (individual/crew)
  • Provide Site teams with measurable performance indicators and data (e.g. trends)
